Welcome Emily Kaufman!

Emily Kauffman was born and raised in Bureau County and grew up on a farm south of Tiskilwa, IL. She went to

Goshen College in Goshen, IN and got a BA in Environmental Science. After graduating she spent a summer working for Pioneer in Princeton, IL and then headed west for a job working with the Student Conservation Association in southern California doing desert restoration. After spending 9 months in the desert, Emily headed to the Pacific Northwest to spend a summer working on a small organic farm outside of Seattle, WA. Once the farm season ended she moved to Portland for 2 years where she worked with a day program for adults with disabilities and then spent over a year working for a forest habitat restoration company. Although Portland was beautiful and an amazing city to live in, she gave up city life to move to northern California for three months and then headed back to Illinois for the farm life once again. She is having a blast living and working at Edgewood, and enjoying her new goat friends and the opportunity to work with nature to grow some amazing produce for you all!
